The Shars Tool Standard Magnetic Base with Speed-Set Fine Adjustment (Part# 202-7932) is a newly improved product that enhances setup efficiency and accuracy. It features a magnetic pull of 176 LBS, a base dimension of 2.36" L x 1.97" W x 2.16" H, and a steel base material with an M8 x 1.25 thread size. The fixed arm length is 3.93", the branch arm length is 5.81", and the maximum reach is 10.83". The clamping diameter is 1/4" dovetail and 3/8", and the speed-set fine adjustment can be replaced by threading onto the arm with an M6 thread size.

Compared to other imports, the Shars magnetic base utilizes a new repositioned spring that stays linear throughout the travel, eliminating spring bind. The adjustment screw uses a finer thread and a ball-shaped end that sits in a pocket, preventing the screw from walking. This design provides a positive footing, a more predictable adjustment, and a silky-smooth feel, minimizing erratic dial hand movements and making dialing in effortless, saving precious setup time.

The Shars Tool 1" Dial Indicator (Part# 303-3111S) features a measuring range of 0-1", graduations of 0.001", and an easy-to-read aluminum dial face with an anti-glare finish. The accuracy meets or exceeds ANSI specifications, with an accuracy of +/- 0.001" for the first 2.5 revolutions and +/- 0.002" overall. The indicator has a rotating bezel with a clamp, and its main movement gears are made from high-quality brass, resistant to wear and rust. The spindle rack and contact points are made of hardened stainless steel, and the case is made from forged brass.
